Sample:
Money earned by MyFreeShares in the last 24 hours : $5.00
Total number of shares : 1000

Number of shares YOU have : 200.0
Your commission in the last 24 hours :: $1.0

How it works ?

After you join MyFreeShares ( for free ), you will get 1 share. You will be able to earn more shares by referring other people to our service ( 1 share per referral ), or by visiting our ACTIVITY CENTER.

The company earns money by selling banner impressions, website ads and e-mail ads. All earnings are divided by total number of shares members have. That is how we get COMMISSION PER SHARE value.

That leaves 50%. That goes the people who build the lens (You).

How to Avoid Business Opportunity Scams! by Dave Turner

How to Avoid Business Opportunity Scams!
By Dave Turner

Nearly everyday I receive an e-mail from someone telling me that they were scammed, or asking me if such and such company is a scam. Because of the amount of e-mail I received, I decided to write this article. Even though this article was written with a slant toward business opportunities, it applies to any type of Internet or mail order offer. If you heed the advice in this article, you will greatly reduce your chances of becoming a scam victim yourself.

First of all, when checking out business opportunities, make sure the website you’re visiting or the materials you’re reading contain all three of the following:

1. A real persons name (not just a company or business name)

2. A verifiable telephone number

3. A street address (not just a P.O. Box)

If all three of the above are not present, walk away from the offer.

Also, don’t consider any business opportunity that doesn’t offer at least a thirty-day money back guarantee. Anything less than that is unacceptable.

Listed below are the ten most common scams:

1. Business Opportunities Scams:
These offers make it sound like it's easy to start a business that will earn you piles of cash with little or no effort on your part; usually accompanied by pictures or banners of mansions, fancy cars and piles of money.

2. Chain Letters:
In this classic scam, you're asked to send a small amount of money (usually $5.00) to each of several names on a list, and then forward the letter including your name at the top of the list, via bulk e-mail. Many of these letters claim to be legal. They even include a section of the U.S. Postal Code on illegal schemes. Don't be fooled. They are not legal. And if you participate, not only will you be breaking the law, you'll lose your money as well.

3. Work-At-Home-Schemes:
The most common work-at-home scam promises that you'll earn money for stuffing envelopes. For example, you're promised you'll earn $2.00 for every envelope you stuff. After you pay a registration fee, of course. In reality, after you pay the fee, you're instructed to place classified ads and send out the same envelope-stuffing ad to others. The only money you'll earn will come from other people who fall for the scam and pay to register. Another variation of this scam is home assembly or craftwork.

4. Bulk E-mail Scams:
These solicitations offer to sell you bulk e-mail addresses (spam software) or services to send spam on your behalf. Example: “Reach 15 million websites, $44.95"! The software is usually of poor quality. It's spam and a scam. Don't do it.

5. Cable De-scrambler kits:
These scams offer kits or information on how to receive cable transmissions without paying any subscription fees. There are two major problems with these offers: 1.the kits and information don't work. 2.Cable television theft is illegal, and you stand an excellent chance of paying a huge fine and/or going to jail!

6. Guaranteed Loans or Credit Scams:
This scam comes in a variety of flavors: home equity loans that don't require equity in your home, personal loans regardless of credit history, etc. After you pay the application fees, you receive a letter saying that your loan request was denied. Usually, you never here from these companies again.

7. Credit Repair Scams:
These scams promise to erase accurate, negative information from your credit file so that you can qualify for loans, mortgages, unsecured credit cards, etc. It doesn't work. Not only that. If you follow their advice and lie on loan or credit applications, misrepresent your social security number, or get an Employer Identification Number from the Internal Revenue Service under false pretenses, you will be committing fraud and violating federal laws. Another variation of this scam is the promise of a brand new credit file. Don't do it.

8. Vacation or Prize Award Scams:
In these scams you receive notification congratulating you because you've won a fabulous vacation, a car or some other prize award. All you have to do to collect your prize is pay a small fee (usually several hundred dollars). In return, what you end up getting is a toy car, (I kid you not) or a vacation certificate to the Bahamas or some other exotic vacation spot. It's really a lousy deal. You have to pay for your own airfare, and the accommodations that they arrange are usually in rundown hotels. Let the buyer beware!

9. Investment Schemes:
These scams offer get-rich-quick schemes to make unlimited profits on the world currency market. There are many variations of this scam, but they all promise the same thing: Wealth without work!

10. Multi-level Marketing (MLM) or Network Marketing Scams:
I know I'm going to ruffle a few feathers with this one, so let me just say right now that all MLM or network marketing companies are not scams. Obviously, there are some good, reputable companies out there. However, there are so many bad ones that I'm compelled to include the entire industry on this list. Before getting involved with any MLM or network marketing company, investigate, investigate and then investigate some more. Don't get caught up in the hype. And here's a fact no MLM or network marketing company will ever tell you--not even the legitimate ones: Unless you have outstanding sales ability and/or people skills, it is extremely difficult to make any money in MLM or network marketing.

Before purchasing any business opportunity, you should always check first to see if the company has had any complaints lodged against it. The following websites publish complaints and/or scams:

http://www.scamwatch.com

http://www.worldwidescam.com

http://www.sohojobs.org

http://www.bbb.org

If you do get scammed, report it to the aforementioned websites immediately. You probably won’t be able to recover your money. Few people ever do. But at least by reporting the crime and making it public record, you make it harder for that company to scam anyone else.

In closing, always carefully investigate any business opportunity, and remember: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Til’ next time…

Get Paid For Your Opinions - Planet Pulse!

Ever been approached by surveyors on the streets to do a survey for free? Irritating isn't it? We are providing valuable information yet not neing appreciated. However, at Planet Pulse, our opinions are highly valued and rewarded at the same time!

Planet Pulse offers pulses for completed surveys, which can be converted to cash at a rate 100 pulses = 1 USD. Minimum cashout amount set at 2500 pulses (US$25).

How to Earn Extra Pulses?

1. Earn 250 pulses for referring 5 friends
2. Earn 20 pulses for each survey completed by level 1 referrals
3. Earn 10 pulses for each survey completed by level 2 referrals

Review of this opportunity

This is definitely not a get-rich-quick scheme. Half a year past,my earning is around 2000 pulses (=20 USA$). However, for just a few minutes of effort, it is literally free money.
There are screeners and questionnaires in place to filter out all the ineligible participants. Therefore, be sure to fill up your profile as accurately as possible.

The surveys that I have done so far are very professional surveys. One was on Great Singapore Sale and Credit Cards, the other from Sony Ericsson surveying on their bluetooth headsets.

Joining Planet Pulse is free! Just register with a valid email address and all surveys will be sent to your inbox. There is no need to login everyday to wait for surveys.

Conclusion

Amidst the limitless scams about making big bucks by completing surveys, this is the only opportunity I found least likely to be a scam. I have been in this program for 1 month and I am very optimistic about this opportunity.

Since its free, unlike many other survey opportunities which require you to pay upfront, why not give this program a shot? With decent effort, this may be a small steady source of internet income for you.

A.W. Surveys is a Scam for sure

A.W. Surveys Scam

In this article, I'd like to discuss A.W. Surveys and tell you my experience with this survey site.
First of all, the site was quite nice as it has 7 good paying welcome surveys that pay from $4 to $6 for each quick website evaluation(they wasn't actually surveys). So once you complete those 7 website evaluations(surveys) then you have a quick $26! That was easy huh? Oh and they also give you $1.25 for each referral you send over to their site be scammed with you.

A.W. Surveys will only let you cash out once you have at least $75 in your account. Guess what? They don't send you anymore surveys. You made $26 from them and the rest of the money you make must come from referring people. If you Google aw surveys scam, you will find many posts from upset ex-members that were burned by the site. The weird thing is that A.W. Surveys has a very good traffic rank. How they manage to keep getting members to the site is beyond me.

So is A.W. Surveys a scam or not? Well they are notorious for cancelling poor innocent members accounts once they get close to their cashout point. They cancel it without warning and you may get a response saying that they suspected "fraud" or something along those lines. Surprisingly, they have paid a few members but it seems that they may be doing this only to keep people coming to the site. So lets say 3 out of 10 members get paid - Those 3 members are going to keep referring people plus A.W. Surveys made money from the other 7 people without having to pay them. My suggestion: Stay away! Don't touch it.

Homepages friends (My Search Funds)

There are a lot of sites that I have tried and a lot of different things I have given a go without making the money I thought I was making. I tried signing up for free things and making money that way (ended up having to work with my credit card to get my money back from a site that said I didn’t have an account when I called to cancel my two week free trial), did the paid to read e-mail thing only to discover that getting paid for e-mails means your e-mail account will be so full of trash it will take hours to sift through it all to get to the paid e-mails and if you aren’t active till you get your check mailed out two months after you ask for it, they aren’t going to pay you. However, I have come a long way in the process of finding what works for me. One thing that definitely works for me is making money doing something I already do a lot of. My Search Funds is just one such opportunity. I don’t mean to make it sound like a sales ad, but this is something I am thrilled about.

Homepages friends (originally named My Search Funds) is a program that is free to sign up for. You do the searching you normally would do and get paid for it. You even get your results back in Google! The pay isn’t a lot and you can easily get kicked off if you are searching just for money. However, if it is something you are going to do anyway you might as well get paid for it! You make your money in pounds and they pay to a PayPal account (where pounds can easily be transfered into whatever currency you would prefer should you not really want pounds). I haven’t gotten paid and I suppose I could end up being disappointed come time for payout. You get paid after you get 20 pounds, but with a forty five day delay so they can verify your searches.

This isn’t a program to get rich with or something that you should do to make money. It is just something that throws in a nice chunk of extra change for something many of us do on a regular basis. They are only there for realistic searches, so it is a bad idea to get started and start making hundreds of searches in a day. However, put their little tab on your search bar and do your research, find out more, and make a little money doing it. After all, you have nothing to loose except the few minutes to sign up and a few minutes to load their tool. You aren’t spending hours trying to make it to payout since you are just using it naturally to find information.

Are you sure it's completely free?

Yes! - the service is totally FREE. We charge you nothing to use our service as we split the revenue generated on bonafide searches with you 50/50 .

How do I get paid?

Sign in to your account and tell us how you want to be paid: either into your bank account or via PayPal. We pay you every 30 days, 45 days after each month end. e.g. For searches in January we pay you in mid March. There is a £20 minimum payment, so if you have not reached this amount in any month we will hold the payment over to the next month.

Do I need a certain browser?

The service currently works on Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 7 ( IE7) and Mozilla/ Firefox browsers.

If you do not have the supported browsers and if you wish to update your browser you can download versions as follows

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7

Mozilla Firefox

Please note if on a business network you should check with your IT department before downloading the above.

How much can I earn?

How much money received clearly depends upon how much you use the service for your typical day to day Internet searches. Based upon our experience to date we estimate that the average user regularly searching the internet could readily raise in excess of £50 per year.

If you want to see how you can really start to earn for yourself by referring your friends and family, click here for more information. It's important that you don't post unsolicited emails or web advertisements; if we get complaints we may have to disallow searches and/or terminate your account. Remember it's all completely free all you need to do is sign up, start searching and tell your friends!

Do I have to change how I search?

No! Apart from anything else, the beauty of our service is that you are doing precisely what you already do - search the internet in the normal way (ie no repetitive searching or anything which could be construed by homepages-friends.com or our affiliate partners as deliberate attempts to generate revenue without regard to the results being returned) - but now you earn for FREE by using us as your search provider!

The search results you will see are just the same as they would be by accessing the search engine from any other location.

I already use another search engine, are your search results as good?

Opinions on search engine providers are clearly subjective, but we beleive that YAHOO! provides extremely high quality search results that compare favourably with the available competition.

I run Microsoft Windows Vista, will it work?

YES! Vista comes with Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 already built in.

Are there any terms & conditions?

When using the various services provided by Homepages Friends you are explicitly accepting the Terms and Conditions of the individual search engine. Homepages Friends reserves the right in its sole discretion to disallow any searches and/or terminate the account of any individual generating searches outside of the Terms and Conditions including (but not limited to) click fraud, automated search tools, searches made without regard to the results returned or artifically searching to generate revenue.

All users understand that each and every time that use is made of the individual search engine that the prevailing Terms & Conditions apply, whichever were in force at the time of application for use.

What happens after I have applied?

We e-mail you your username and password so you can check "Your Account" showing how much you have earned.

You search as normal!

After signing in to your account you tell us how you want to be paid: either into your bank account; or via PayPal.

We pay you every 30 days 45 days after each month end e.g. for searches in January we pay you in mid March.

Can I have more than one search provider in my browser?

Yes, but you will only benefit from your internet searching if you use our service. So please ensure we are set as your default search provider.

I can see my name in the search box but it disappears when I do a search - is there anything wrong?

No, the last search term you enter is kept in the box but when you next open your browser our name will reappear.

What does your organisation hope to achieve for its customers?

At the heart of our corporate strategy is our commitment to assisting organisations and individuals take advantage of the many opportunities the internet brings, to online income generation, and to assist them in the achievement of their fund raising goals.

We aim to generate effective income jointly for ourselves and our clients through a thorough understanding of the opportunities and services available, strong business relations with the suppliers of those services and the significant volumes that allow us to negotiate strong revenue shares.

For the individual seeking to raise personal funds we have developed the Homepages Friends service as a clear and effective method.

A Small, (but good) Free Survey Directory

Survey sites take information about all sorts of things, to determine what surveys to send you.
The sites I list (and rate) are examples of companies that are listed in the paid directories. All of these are totally free to sign up.

There are no catches that I'm aware of. If you really want to give this a go, sign up for all of the ones you can (depending on what country you live in).

Some good directories that you pay for with lists of hundreds of sites are listed near the bottom of our main page.

At this time, I do not list any sites rated below ***. There is a separate page of sites I don't like, plus some scam information.

On The Right Is A Free List Of Quality Paid Survey Sites That Pay You To Take Surveys, Join Focus Groups And Test Products

There are many ways to make money on the internet. Some are a total waste of time and / or money.

This one works pretty well for many people. I have tried a number of these professional market research companies and have listed rated the results for you.

Just to make this clear: None of the sites listed on this page charge anything for membership. You just sign up and they send you surveys and sometimes free products to test.

You won't get rich only registering with these sites, but you will make some extra money, plus - you might enjoy giving your opinion to influence products.

My favorite ones pay in cash, rather than sweepstakes entries. They're probably my favorites because I have never won a drawing. I suppose if I ever win $50,000 or so, I might change my mind. From what I know, the odds of winning these are much higher than winning the lottery. It's free - so I give it a try anyway. Why not?

Also, even on the sites that pay cash for surveys, if you don't qualify for a survey after the short screening questions, usually give you an entry into a drawing.

Survey Scam Warnings And Tips

The most common survey site scam is to promise to send you surveys and instead, you get bombarded with special offers and ads.

It's an easy way for unscrupulous people to generate a large mailing list. They may even sell your email address to others. Because of this, it's a good idea to use a free email service, such as Yahoo or Gmail (Google) for your email account for survey sites. They have excellent junk filters, plus can handle a lot of mail.

Even legitimate survey directory sites that list survey sites, sometimes list some scammers. That's one good reason to pick a survey site directory that has a good customer service . If enough users give feedback, the bad guys will be removed from the list.

I have signed up with at least one of these scams. I have never received a survey from them: Only lots of what I consider to be junk mail, because even though I signed up at the site, I didn't expect to be receiving "special offers" in my inbox every day. I was just expecting to receive surveys.

If a survey site is legitimate, you will not be required to purchase anything or give credit card information (Unless you sign up for one of the large survey directories that charge for membership).

Survey directories maintain a large database of hundreds of sites that pay for surveys. If you join one of these directories, do not sign up for individual sites that ask for credit card information or require you to apply for credit cards, etc. While the offers may be legitimate, it's best to be safe.

Most of the information listed in these paid directories is available for free on the net. It just saves you some searching time (plus trial and error) to sign up with one of these sites. Obviously, since they are getting paid to furnish information to you, (if they're smart) the information will be of high quality or you will just get a refund.

Why Some People Think A Survey Site Is A Scam, When It Isn't

Companies that take surveys use profiles to decide who to invite to take a survey. Sometimes you are invited to take a screening survey to qualify for a real survey. Generally the screening survey does not pay anything, but may enter you in a drawing.

No one (except the companies themselves) know how many active surveys the sites are taking. They do not send all the surveys to every member. They base it on what their customer, (usually a big corporation), wants to survey . For example, they may only want women, men, teenagers, people in certain professions, etc.

They may only want people in a certain income bracket, or ethnicity. Also, the survey could be focused on a particular company. The other day, I was rejected for a survey. I believe this was because the survey was about a particular company that does not do business in my area.

It's not unusual to wait days, or weeks for the first survey to arrive from a particular site. That's a good reason to sign up with many sites. It increases you odds of receiving surveys.

Sites I Don't Like.:

1. Producttestpanel.com : After signing up for this, I have received nothing but "free" offers. The latest one is for an $1100 digital camera. They state that they are not associated with the manufacturer. It makes you wonder what they're testing. Looking closer into the offer, it turns out that you have to sign up for 6 different offers, getting accepted for credit cards and buying other products. This isn't free.

2. Surveyclub.com : They promise to send surveys. I never saw one - Only encouragement to sign up for paid survey directories. This makes me doubt that they even are a professional survey analysis company.

3. Memolink.com: The site requires you to sign up for either things you have to pay for or apply for and get approved for credit cards, etc. - just to become a member.

4. Alwaysavings.com
Another site that pelts you with "special offers". I have absolutely no recollection of signing up with them. I am trying to "unsubscribe". If it works, I'll be quite happy.

5. Franklin Surveys

Today, I received an offer to join an online dating service from them. What does this have to do with surveys? I do not recall ever receiving a survey. Just legalized spam.

I will add more as information becomes available.

One Other Thing: Mystery Shopping

A guy I knew did this many years ago - before the Internet existed. He would report back to companies what kind of service there stores were giving, plus even was paid to shoplift! Of course, he didn't get to keep the products he "stole". The purpose was to test how good a store's security measures were working.

Now, there are sites promoting doing this for a living on the Internet. The disturbing thing about some of these sites is that they tell you of a job opening in your area, then want to charge you for the details. This at least smells like a scam.

This ingenious device is a project created by the Nokia Research Center in collaboration with the Cambridge Nanoscience Centre in the UK. Here are some other nifty features this future phone could have:

  • Built-in solar absorption that charges the device.
  • The surface of the device is superhydrophobic - meaning it is extremely dirt-repellent, allowing it to clean itself.
  • A transparent body that offers an entirely new aesthetic dimension.
  • Integrated sensors that can allow us to learn more about the environment around us, for example telling us whether an apple has been washed clean.
  • Newly-enabled flexible and transparent materials blend more seamlessly with the way we live - you could even wrap this phone around your wrist!

Unfortunately, this phone won't be on the market for a long time - its still in its research stages. But with these new advances in technology, who knows what the mobile phones of tomorrow could do, maybe even help do your work, or use laser beams to help open envelopes or repel alien invaders.

Are you looking for extra cash? You can get paid filling out simple online surveys with YourVoice. I was quite dubious about all these online survey scams which has mushroomed on the net and did not know which ones are genuine. However, I now know for sure that Your Voice pays.

YourVoice is an online survey site which is run by Nielsen, the leading provider of information and research to consumer products and services. Nielsen has more than 100 offices worldwide. Although this review is about YourVoice Singapore, I’m sure there are YourVoice websites for your country.

Membership to this site is absolutely free, that’s what I like about this site. I’m wary of those sites which require you to pay for you to take surveys. I have been tricked into payign for such websites. Pay to get paid, isn’t it ironic? So I only join free survey websites. You can accumulate e-points when you complete survey request via e-mail. These e-points can be redeemed for catalogue items or gift vouchers.

This is my personal experience with YourVoice. The online surveys are easy to complete, often with multiple choice questions. I took several surveys and accumulated enough points to be redeemed. I exchanged my e-points for a $20 Roberson voucher. That helps me ease the groceries shopping expenses for the month. But the money is not coming so soon and it takes about 8 month to accumulate that much points to redeem.

The setback I faced was that it took quite a long time to accumulate enough e-points to be converted. Nevertheless, there is another way to get more points. They have a refer-a-friend scheme, whereby you can get 60 e-points if each of your friends signs up for the
survey website. You can accumulate your points faster this way. On top of that, some of the surveys qualify for a prize draw and you could win cash or gift vouchers if you are a winner in the prize draw. Overall, this is a great paying online survey site! I strongly recommend it.
